How to open an account

1. Submit your on-line application

Complete the online application form and submit it to us. You will be asked to verify your email address - after which an account will be prepared for you.

2. Upload supportive documentation

In order to get access to fund your account and start trading you will need to upload documentation (to check which documentation is rquired see the bottom of this page). You can upload the documentation as part of completing the application form - or submit the documentation later at your own convenience.

 

3. Fund your account and start trading

When your documentation has been verified (which will normally happen within the same working day), your account is ready for funding. You can fund online via a bank transfer - you will receive an email guiding you how to do this and how to access the trading platform.
The following supportive documentation must be supplied electronically (e.g. a scanned copy of the requested documents):
  • A copy of the photograph page from your passport, driving licence or other valid identification issued by the authorities
  • Proof of your current address: An ID document that include your address - or a bank statement or utility bill (e.g. gas, water, electricity, land line phone, oil, internet or cable TV connections) issued in your name within the previous 6 months

 

Minimum Account size

Before setting up your account with Saxo Bank, please note that the minimum account size is GBP 6,500.
