How do I open an account?
To apply for an account please visit the Apply Online page , accessible through the Accounts menu or simply use the pop-up on the right side of this screen. After you have filled out the requested forms, you will need to confirm the email address you provided by clicking on a link sent by us to this address. If you are having trouble finding the email, please check your ‘spam’ folder. To complete your application, you will be asked to provide us with a copy of your passport and a proof of residence. These documents can be submitted by email, fax or regular mail.
After we have received the required documentation, we will validate your application, which may take up to two working days. You will be notified by email as soon as your account is open.

How do I fund my account?
Saxo Bank accepts fund transfers through many major financial institutions around the world.
Card payments can be made through the Card Payment module, which is accessible from SaxoTrader and SaxoWebTrader by clicking Credit/ Debit Card Deposit in the Account Menu. All card transactions are executed in the base currency of the card.
Instructions on funding your account with a bank transfer or international transfer can be found on the Account Funding page in the Account menu on our website.

How do I trade Saxo Bank's products
Saxo Bank offers the choice between three trading platforms:
- SaxoWebTrader; this browser-based platform can be accessed directly through the web.
- SaxoTrader; this multi-award winning trading platform requires installation and offers features such as extensive market analysis data and news modules, technical analysis and charting functions.
- SaxoMobileTrader; use this platform to access your account on your mobile phone to view your account status at any time of the day, anywhere in the world.

How secure is trading through Saxotrader?
In order to create a highly secure trading environment, SaxoTrader authentication relies on an RSA 1024-bit key generated and stored on the client workstation. Data traffic between the trading platform and the bank is encrypted using an RC4 128-bit session key.

What is the minimum account size?
When opening a private Saxo Bank account an initial deposit is required with a minimum of USD 10,000. The minimal initial deposit for a Saxo Premium account is USD 100,000.
